1The Art Of Hot
4Caught Up

one or two skips and lots of clipping on atmospherique here.
manageable with a bit more weight like people below have said, though
Perfect copy overhere! I have no issues playing the record.
Dancing Lion
I must be lucky , my copy plays well , even in club environment. And excellent release .
Caught up is a write off. So disappointing, don't buy
Silly Dog
Yea, there's that part that skips on my record too. It seems to play fine with anti-skate on.
Sadly I have to confirm the skipping. I actually have two copies with the same issue, skipping at the end of the intro of caught up. I am not confident enough to play this record in the club, such a shame.
mine skips too, gutted such a good release.
Mine skips too.
Just checked the feedback on this release and I'm appalled by these reports. We had a total of two (2) reports from shops and we checked a bunch of copies ourselves (which were perfect, at least in terms of tracking/skipping - mastering is subjective). Apologies to those who got bum copies. Unfortunately on a repress we drop-ship and can't test every copy...issues can arise during mastering, electroplating or pressing, and often one company points fingers at another. We will be trying a new mastering house, however, so fingers crossed moving forward. At least weight helps - plenty of records in the personal collection, esp. from Detroit from the 90s, where I have to do the same thing. Glad there are a couple good reports peppered in here, which means the problem isn't universal. If you have an issue, please return it (if possible) to the shop you purchased from. They can then return to distributor and we can credit. Unfortunately we cannot process returns unless it was bought directly from our online store. Sorry and we hope to never have this issue again.
Beautiful response. Thank you for taking ownership of mastering /pressing issues, regardless of which part of the process failed. I wish all labels were as honorable. I would love to master vinyl for Environ.~ OCCIDENTAL Mastering
Mine copy plays well.. When we can expect new/ repressed material from You? :)
I was excited when i heard about the release. Skipping doesn't seem to be a problem with my copy, i'm more disappointed at how Miura sounds. I get that they fixed a few things they weren't content with on the original track, but something has been lost in the re-mastering process..
I have no idea what some of these guys below are on about, in terms of dynamics this is one of my best sound records
Thank you Discogs users for offering honest and valuable feedback.I'm still hesitant to buy this as it appears shallow grooves or bass phasing may be throwing the needle without enough tonearm weight. (Sad, as this offers four of the hottest Metro Area tracks.)However, I applaud Environ for its professional response.
I took my chances of buying a copy and I was relieved that it came out just fine, mind you I only used my own turntables and needles to test it. So far there is no skipping and the sound is still superb. It's a win/lose situation.
Wow what a lame pressing the sound is flat ( i have an original battered copy of Mira that sounds much better (beefier/deeper), Atmosphrique is a disaster, skipping around, what a disappointment and missed opportunity.

Sweet random find the other day. Got it home and having some skipping issues. This is not cool. Extra weight helps, but problem still not completely solved.
Yeah I have the same problem of skipping
As good as the tracks are the mastering is not that great.... My needle jumped a few times on Miuara I had to put more weight on the first times to prevend it from skipping, I think the pressing plant isn't up to it's game for a release like this... A missed opportunity I think.... Still glad I own it on vinyl now... but they should have used 180 gr virgin vinyl
180G VINYL has nothing to do with the chance of it skipping or not. It's the CUT.
I dont think 180g is going to fix anything, if it won't play on a normal 12" what makes you think a thicker slab of vinyl is going to fix it?
Also no problems here , The technics SL-1210-M5G with Ortofon Concorde DJ ( The Blue one) plays at 2.0 g and there is no skipping at all.The tracks gives here and there some clicks but that's not terrible.
no problems here! with 1,9 g of weight i get crisp and clear sound!
yes, terrible pressings, clicks all over one side skips at the beginning of the other, returning mine but don't hold much hope of getting a better one.
Absolutelly stunning perfect compliation of true gemms from MA, 5/5.
